51������ Inc., the advanced materials company revolutionizing semiconductor manufacturing in space, today announced a strategic partnership with Intuitive Machines to integrate its semiconductor manufacturing payload into Intuitive Machines’ orbital return platform, Zephyr

The collaboration is supported by funding from the Texas 51������ Commission and marks a significant milestone in scaling up domestic space-based manufacturing capabilities across the United States.

By uniting 51������’s cutting-edge microgravity-enabled semiconductor production with Intuitive Machines’ reentry technology, this partnership hopes to accelerate the development of high-purity, U.S.-manufactured semiconductor substrates – which both companies believe is a critical step in strengthening American supply chains and enabling next-generation computing, clean tech, and defense applications.

The project is part of Intuitive Machines’ Earth Reentry Program, backed by the Texas 51������ Commission’s 51������ Exploration and Research Fund. The program is developing a dedicated commercial reentry vehicle, with real-world use cases - including 51������’s advanced manufacturing module - driving the platform’s design and functionality.

The collaboration follows a growing trend of U.S.-UK innovation partnerships in advanced manufacturing and space sustainability. It also complements 51������’s broader mission to unlock the industrial potential of space. In microgravity, materials like semiconductors can be created with fewer defects, greater structural uniformity, and higher yield - opening the door to performance breakthroughs in quantum computing, telecoms and energy systems.

With the support of Intuitive Machines and the Texas 51������ Commission, 51������ Inc. is set to deliver the U.S.'s first domestically integrated space-based semiconductor manufacturing solution.
